II/ Key job tasks of Technical manager

1. Recommend new upgrades or enhancements to the network to support business objectives.

2. Negotiate the purchase of equipment and associated services.

3. Management of any associated budgets.

4. Management of these upgrades to completion.

5. Improve and optimize the network to best support the business needs.

6. Manage the capacity and performance of each of the network elements.

7. Manage the end to end quality of the network services.

8. Provide regular / daily performance and capacity reports with recommendations where required.

9. Ensure that the network elements are regularly maintained to achieve maximum performance.

10. Management of optimization projects to completion.

11. Conduct interview of potential candidates.

12. Regular reviews of engineers performance.

13. Provide section orientation for new staff upon them being hired.

14. Recommend training courses for staff to ensure they are adequately equipped to handle job requirements.

15. Participate in the product development of life cycle.

16. Assist in the delivery of technical presentations.

17. Assist in the rolling out of new product.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in an applied science or engineering field.

2. 7 years experience in technologies.

3. 3-4 years at the managerial level.

4. Experienced in Project management.

5. Knowledge of industry technologies and best practices.

6. Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.

7. Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.

8. Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.

9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
