II/ Key job tasks of Technical director
1. Establish operations and maintenance routines (preventive, general, and emergency) to service all equipment, develop and supervise completion of all maintenance schedules. Monitor the condition of components and recommend replacement and/or upgrade as required.
2. Develop and execute the inventory control program for the Center.
3. Manage the day to day technical operations of the facility.
4. Act as security and safety coordinator to ensure safe and secure working conditions.
5. Conduct employee performance reviews.
6. Develop and execute a long term technology plan for the Multimedia Center, recommend equipment acquisitions, and participate in negotiation of equipment purchases and technical service contracts.
7. Responsible for oversight of the installation and maintenance of all technical equipment including editing, graphics, switchers, studio, and broadcast equipment, by in-house staff and/or contractors. Coordinate with computer and data network support staff as necessary.
8. Maintain accurate and current equipment documentation, schematics, and preventive maintenance procedures.
9. Maintain knowledge and stay current on broadcast and IT technological foundations and advances. Requires thorough knowledge of all current digital video and audio formats.
10. Maintain solid working relationships with local telecommunications and other service providers to promote collaborative efforts and enable effective content distribution from the Center, e.g. to local public service broadcast media, Web casting, and other broadcast/media distribution channels when appropriate.
11. Oversee and assign the daily work activities of technical and production staff, and, where appropriate, master control operators.
12. Supervise full and part time personnel reporting to him/her as well as student interns, academic productions, volunteers, and contracted temporary staff assigned to support specific projects or events.
13. Ensure that the technical team assembled for any production is competent to properly operate the facilities and equipment, and when necessary specify that additional staff must be added (with cost covered by the party responsible for the production) to meet minimum standards for production as established for the Center.
14. Train staff members on routing systems, transmissions, feeds, and quality control functions, such as reading test equipment and taking any appropriate corrective action.
15. Maintain broadcast quality and consistency of all signals and operational equipment, and oversee analog and digital, and standard and HD systems. Requires thorough understanding of and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions of integrated audio and video systems.
16. Ensure quality customer service to all clients both internal (e.g. faculty, students, staff) and external (e.g. broadcasters, recording artists).
17. Provide expertise in all areas of technical setup in control room, studio, remotes, field production, and post-production operations.
18. Responsible for development and implementation of all technical policy and procedures and all associated production and post-production services and activities, consistent with guidelines established by the Manager.
19. Perform other related duties as assigned.
III / Job specification of technical director
1. At least five (8) years experience technical and years experience of director position.
2. Possess a USSF “A” or “B” license or NSCAA equivalent.
3. Demonstrate the ability to communicate with young players of various levels and abilities.
4. Possess strong practical playing ability at the professional, semi-professional, or college level.
5. Possess strong interpersonal skills with solid written and oral communication skills.
6. Possess computer literacy, including the ability to work with standard word-processing (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) tools.
7. Possess proven ability to influence adults and articulate concepts to large audiences.
8. Demonstrate leadership qualities.
9. Experience in instructing coaching course to adults.
10. Possess integrity and follow morally and ethically sound standards.
11. Possess good organizational skills and administrative skills with good time management.
12. Have a dynamic personality with innovative ideas and strong motivational skills.
13. Possess a player development policy that is in line with the Club’s mission and objective.
14. Be responsible with a mature personality.
15. Committed to working non traditional hours, nights and weekends.
16. Possess a valid drivers license and insurance.
