II/ Key job tasks of Technical coordinator
1. Create an asset register of technical equipment and fixtures and fittings adding new equipment as it is purchased.
2. Advise the Venue Manager on repairs and renewals, and be responsible for making arrangements for the maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment and facilities as necessary.
3. Manage and supervise all use of arts centre equipment by employees, arts centre users and trainees and line-manage any centre staff, casual, fixed contract, freelance, or trainees, employed in a technical capacity.
4. Provide supervision and basic technical training to non-professional arts centre users and trainees, as required.
5. Plan and implement the production schedule for each visiting artist and company ensuring that all elements are in place to facilitate each show including casual labor, special FX etc. and to manage each within the allocated budget.
6. Maintain effective communications with all artists and companies using the theatre, galleries or workshop room so that their needs can be accommodated, and act as production manager for each in-house production to ensure that costs are controlled.
7. Manage the installation of gallery exhibitions and ensure that security and environmental standards are met.
8. Act as advisor to amateur groups using the arts centre and supervise the use of the arts centre’s equipment by visitors to protect it and ensure its longevity.
9. Operate the shows of companies and artists as required and as arranged by prior agreement between the arts centre and arts company/performer.
10. Consult and liaise with other building users from the County Library and Arts Service with regard to the efficient, safe and secure operation of the premises.
11. Every effort shall be made to ascertain where additional services/ equipment could be obtained or accessed. Sole responsibility for procurement/ costing/ charging for additional services shall rest with the General Manager and the board.
12. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

1. Experience of 4 to 8 years.
2. Should have managed a team of technical executives for at least 2 years.
3. Should have hands on experience of handling customer queries in networking.
4. A go getter and having good people management and customer relationship skills.
5. The candidate should be enthusiastic and energetic and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
6. Should have good presentation and communication skills.
7. Should be able to impart training on solutions to customers and internal teams.
8. Smart, confident, ability to handle various customer facing situations in resolving technical issues.
9. Good communication & analytical skills.
