2. Basic functions of Security department

• Ensures that standard procedures for all security-related issues are in place and periodically updated.
• Independently deals with officers of the corporation on matters pertaining to access control and other security-related issues for all Company facilities
• Conducts security assessments on request of overseas subsidiaries and assists the subsidiary security officer with the design/improvement of the subsidiary’s security program.
• Plans, programs for, and directs the total physical security effort for the Company, including advice and assistance to overseas subsidiaries on request.
• Plans, programs for, and directs the Company’s emergency response program as it pertains to security, liaison with local law enforcement, and medical emergency response.
• Responds to security related problems that come to the attention of the Supervisor, Security, including the making of independent judgments and decisions on diverse matters ranging from violations of security procedures to serious emergencies involving law enforcement or medical authorities, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
• Monitors and stays current on the latest technical advances in security-related equipment as part of his role in assuring that Company physical security infrastructure is effective and up to date.
