Sales director job specification include requirements as follows:

1. Bachelors degree in a business related field.

2. MBA is highly desirable.

3. Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales management capacity in the produce industry.

4. Must have good understanding of mass markets with EDI systems to drive a growing business.

5. Knowledge of inventory systems with perishable products is highly desirable; strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills.

6. Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.

7. Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilising information for business improvement.

8. Proactively develops and improve products and services.

9. Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues.

10. Make strategic decisions.

11. Inspire others to share their vision and support them to reach a common goal.

12. Coordination and planning of budgets, people and time management.

13. Dedicated to improving results.

14. Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences.

15. Show loyalty to the team by standing by decisions that benefit the organization.
