Network Engineer Job Specification
Network Engineer Job Specification include job requirements as follows:
1. Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE
2. Good working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and basic computer hardware components
3. Proven and relevant working experience in a busy, client focused organisation.
4. MCSE Certification is desirable.
5. Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software
6. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
7. Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux, Novell
8. Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS
9. Good working knowledge of the following operating systems: – Windows 2000 / 2003
10. Exchange server 2003 implementation experience
11. Experience of administering Linux systems.
