Manufacturing engineer job specification
Manufacturing engineer job specification include job requirements:
1. Must know basic inspection and testing concepts. Must know how to read and interpret blueprints and GD & T information.
2. Familiarity with the Advanced Product Quality Process
3. In some instances, travel will be required.
4. Must be experienced with various cutting tools such as tooling used in turning, drilling, and broaching operations.
5. Must be experienced with various machine tool operations such as turning, spline forming, induction hardening, grinding, hole making, etc.
6. Experience in using automation to integrate machine tools into a work cell.
7. Experience with various methods of workholding and gaging.
8. Must have an understanding of accounting, financing, and economics.
9. Advanced mathematical and statistical concepts or procedures such as trigonometry and statistical process control.
10. Maintain a membership in SME or SAE and/or registration as a professional engineer.
11. Must possess intermediate computer skills.
