Laundry manager job description
Job purpose of Laundry manager is responsibility for linen processing, service and control. The Manager ensures that an adequate supply of clean fresh linen is routinely provided to both campuses. The Manager monitors linen utilization to ensure that it is properly utilized. The Manager is also responsible for maintaining employee morale at a high level, meeting the requirements of regulatory agencies, budgetary objectives, and maintaining excellent Guest Relations.
Key duties/responsibilities of Laundry manager:
1. Supervises staffing levels to ensure that operational needs and financial objectives are met.
2. Orders cleaning supplies and uniforms within budget.
3. Ensures all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
4. Works effectively with the Engineering department on Laundry equipment maintenance needs.
5. Sets a positive example for guest relations.
6. Empowers associates to provide excellent customer service.
7. Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with associates and ensures associates do the same within the team.
8. Supervises daily Laundry shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.
9. Ensures consistent workflow to minimize peaks and valleys in production.
