Key duties of project coordinator
include job tasks
1. Identifies, develops, and maintains strong relationships with research-producing organizations.
2. Assists with preparing and reviewing grant proposals.
3. Conducts presentations on research work and findings at conferences.
4. Conducts presentations on findings to college/university staff, community organizations, school staff, etc.
5. Maintains effective working relationships with high schools, colleges and universities, and program staff through continuous communications.
6. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
7. Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent, where applicable, in the day to day duties of a project’s administration.
8. Assist in plan and spec analysis in order to provide clear, trackable and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings for construction.
9. Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences and errors/omissions.
10. Act as liaison with subcontractors in expediting drawings and related information.
11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs (Vendor/Subcontractor, Purchase, Owner etc.), track responses and advise the Project Manager.
12. Obtain quotations for Notices of Change.
13. Maintain and update the Shop Drawing Log, review Shop Drawings and submittals.
14. Coordinate submittals and procure all close-out documents including warranties and Operating and Maintenance Manuals.
15. Monitor field work, including contract work, to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications and codes.
16. Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents.
17. Assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues. Conduct quality control activities in accordance with instructions, inspection programs, using specified control measuring and testing equipment.
18. Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work as required.
19. Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.
20. Coordinate periodic job-related photographs for records.
21. Present oneself as a candidate for promotion by learning and understanding construction methods and developing good construction management skills.
22. Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by supervision.
23. Coordinates with program staff data gathering and data management for accountability and to measure performance of program services.
24. Analyzes and disaggregates data relating to college access and success.
25. Evaluates existing data flow processes and assists in making required adjustments; and promotes program innovation.
26. Stays abreast of current academic literature, research, and evaluation studies which are relevant to organizational mission and practices.
27. Works with staff to conceptualize, develop, and produce new research-based publications and products.
28. Develops informational briefs on timely policy issues and other research synthesis documents for publication.
29. Receives, reviews, coordinates, and replies to inquiries and requests for information related to program data.
