Financial supervisor job description
Job purpose of Financial supervisor is to manages many aspects of our financial operations center including staff supervision, policies and procedure development, and transaction processing. The Financial Operations Supervisor ensures project deliverables and expectations are met on a daily basis.
I. Key duties/responsibilities of Financial supervisor:
1. Assists Range programs and Range Systems personnel in identifying cost elements, estimates, and calculating labor hours.
2. Significant cross-functional ties with other support and business delivery areas of the business around the U.S.
3. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet task schedules using knowledge of capabilities of supervised staff.
4. Provides guidance for the timely and accurate delivery of the unit’s assignments.
5. Carries out strategic HR management and performs managerial tasks such as resource management, development, talent management, succession planning, performance, compensation, retention, replacement and termination.
6. Build relationships with external organizations to gain knowledge, expertise and ideas to add value.
7. Assists program managers with reallocating funds within their programs.
8. Analyzes proposed plans and policies, as well as new programs, to determine costs and projected profitability.
9. Makes appropriate recommendations to management in order to strengthen business controls, improve operations, and/or reduce costs.
10. Manages and maintains influential relationship with Global Life and Finance and related functions (e.g. Tax, Reporting, Expense Management, Planning etc).
11. Build strong relationships with local Finance functions and other Hubs.
12. Oversees special financial studies for management in conjunction with recommended or proposed plans.
13. Identifies and pursues significant business and efficiency opportunities.
14. Manages and maintains relationship with senior business executives and other key business partners on the Hub and global level, i.e. executive board
15. Supervises the timely and competent analysis of budgets, cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc.
16. Supervises the activities of financial analyses staff to ensure that work is completed on a timely basis and that company policies and procedures are followed.
17. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees to resolve problems.
18. Recommends and/or initiates the selection and hiring of employees.
19. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product.
20. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
21. Makes recommendations for salary increases, transfers and terminations to manager.
22. Recommends measures to improve processes, employee performance, and quality of service provided to the customer.
23. Oversees Hub Financial planning.
24. Executes strategic plans and contributes to global strategic planning.
