Job purpose of Financial associate (vice president)

To build budgets and forecasts for assigned cost centers and functional lines of business. You will produce monthly financial reports and explain actual result variances to forecast and budget. You will help build and analyze staff capacity models and related operational site plan impacts.

I. Key duties/responsibilities of Financial associate:

1. Budgeting, forecasting, mortgage loan servicing.
2. Performing complex analyses and advising management on data interpretation for operating or strategic plans.
3. Update P&L models to streamline efficiencies.
4. Responsible for numerous additional ad-hoc analysis.
5. Assembling, compiling, and analyzing data and resolving inconsistencies in data from system sources. Some analyses will be detailed and require interpretive skills to translate in concise form to management.
6. Manage and Facilitate the financial management process and present findings on formal quarterly basis.
7. Managing process for analysis of actual program results vs forecasts.
8. Formulating new internal processes and analytical reports to improve information resources available to top management.
9. Building detailed P&Ls and supporting materials.
10. Forecasting and budgeting the expected revenue drivers and prepare monthly variance explanations of actual results vs. forecast/budget.
11. Researching and evaluating major changes in regulations affecting accounting requirements.
12. Identifying new/revised procedures necessary to respond to changes in a timely and effective manner.
13. Work with subject matter experts from other areas of the bank to obtain inputs for key assumptions needed to build the P&L (ie. Acquisitions, Risk, Product, etc)
14. Project design, development, implementation, maintenance and completion as assigned.
