Database analyst job description
Database analyst job description include key duties as follows:
1. Work with IT team for configuration of hardware/software to perform installations, testing, upgrades, as well as work with IT team on optimization of data storage, efficiencies, capacity planning and database growth
2. Write and understand Microsoft SQL. Be able to write SQL statements, stored procedures and views using industry best practices for security and efficiency
3. Database and code management, review and documentation
4. Work with application developers to know how applications work and testing results
5. Security administration – monitor and administer ERP security
6. Create and develop and manage internal procedures for various job functions within the ERP system
7. Change control and version control testing, processes and procedures
8. Manage relationship between ERP vendors and Carousel
9. Support of ERP software, database structure and data
10. Administration of ERP database including the analysis, design, and creation
11. Work with implementation team to build, customize and roll new ERP solution to organization
12. Work with consultants to design and built database structure specific to Carousel’s needs
