Customer service supervisor job specification

Customer service supervisor job specification include job requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.

2. At least three to five years of strong customer service experience. Experience in cable or communications industry desirable.

3. Previous supervisory or lead experience with demonstrated ability to effectively lead large groups of employees, train personnel in customer service, and communicate/enforce policies and procedures.

4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write moderately complex reports and correspondence.

5. Proficient computer skills with the ability to work with word processing and spreadsheet applications. Working knowledge of on-line billing or management information systems.

6. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out verbal or written instructions. Ability to deal with non-routine problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and distribute workload effectively among large groups of employees working various shifts.

8. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, subordinates, and all other employees at all levels throughout the organization.

9. Must speak English fluently; the ability to speak other languages is desirable.

10. Ability to supervise front end operations effectively.

11. Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and register system.

12. Ability to provide outstanding customer service.

13. Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to work force.

14. Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.

15. Ability to communicate with associates and customers.

16. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.

17. Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
