Construction inspector job specification
Construction inspector job specification include job requirements:
1. Minimum of high school education or GED.
2. Knowledge of state and local building codes including Uniform Building Code, electrical code, and plumbing codes is required.
3. Knowledge of construction contract administration, CSI format specifications, and construction site development is required.
4. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License;
5. Must maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) and AOA (Airport Operations Area) clearances.
6. Ten years experience in construction activities related to architecture or engineering preferred.
7. Must have ability to motivate others to accomplish positive results; make independent determinations; prepare reports and correspondence, both written and oral; analyze data gathered from a wide variety of sources; review information in an electronic format.
8. Ability to operate a computer. Successful operation will include the retrieval of e-mail and opening various attachments on a daily basis. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe and Outlook required.
9. Requires movement throughout the terminal, and adjacent facilities and the ability to operate an automobile.
10. May be exposed to disagreeable elements associated with daily construction and inclement weather.
