Job purpose of Brand marketing manager is to lead, plan, and execute the marketing direction for the corporate initiatives and to develop and execute marketing direction and plans for consumer-facing brand.
Key duties/responsibilities of Brand marketing manager:
1. Drive corporate brand and consumer brand activities.
2. Brand strategy and launch strategy development, coordination and execution (including media planning).
3. Messaging strategy development (by audience, LOB, markets).
4. Lead brand strategy by ensuring it aligns with company vision and promise. Drive strategic changes in brand position as it evolves.
5. Create and lead marketing plans leveraging resouces of Media+Marketing, PR and b-to-b marketing teams.
6. Brand identity development and brand guidelines development/maintenance.
7. Brand architecture and product naming strategy, provide input into product naming.
8. Maintain brand integrity and compliance across product lines, marketing materials and all other internal and external communication as it pertains to our brands.
9. Evolve strategy to grow new customer segments presence within key vertical markets.
10. Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, editorial, b-to-b marketing, design, products teams, PR, research and operations to execute specific marketing plans.
11. Website and content strategy development.
12. Oversee management of content for external web sites and messaging support for external sites.
13. Drive high quality creative development and execution standards in support of the brands and related products.
14. Set and track brand health metrics and drive the development of brand tracking across business.
15. Oversee the overall marketing planning calendar.
16. Special brand and communications projects.
17. Monitor competitive activities and strategic response to market movements.
18. Lead brand and corporate marketing presentations at key sales, marketing corporate presentations as necessary.
