1. One year of agricultural experience.
2. EPA Pesticide Training Card. (can be obtained through department).
3. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
4. Ability to read, understand, and speak English.
5. Demonstrated experience in using agricultural irrigation systems.
6. Experience in communicating effectively with co-workers, supervisor and researchers.
7. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
8. Experience to operate light and or non complex agricultural equipment.
9. Experience and skill in the use of small hand and power tools used in the normal repair of irrigation equipment.
10. Experience to repair cement, plastic, and aluminum pipe systems.
11. Ability to safely move and lift materials, equipment, and tools weighing a maximum of 50 pounds.
12. Experience to work outdoors for extended periods of time in extreme and inclement weather conditions.
13. Ability to report and record water usage and labor hours.
