Advertising coordinator job description

1. Build and maintain relationships with clients.

2. Sell print advertisements to national advertisers, particularly book publishers.

3. Sell Web advertisements to national advertisers of all sorts.

4. Schedule ad placement with art and editorial staffs.

5. Bill advertisers.

6. Coordinates weekly newspaper and TV advertising and works with other marketing team members to ensure appropriate graphics, data and specifications of ad are accurate and produced timely.

7. Creates and distributes appropriate advertising communications to branch offices and adheres to deadline and submission dates.

8. Communicates all details necessary for supervisor/co-workers to understand any given situation and confirms understanding from the individual(s) being given the information.

9. Offers to conduct research to obtain missing information when necessary or appropriate.
10. Act as back up for other advertising positions.

11. Attends regularly scheduled Production team meetings as needed or asked.

12. Contacts businesses throughout the area to advertise in the program, tab section and backs of tickets.

13. Arranges for forms to be made for contacting businesses.

14. Bills or collects in advance advertising fees from businesses.

15. Ensures that checks and monies are turned in to the treasurer for deposit.

16. The board must approve any expenditure in advance.

17. Turns in all receipts to the Production Manager immediately after purchase.

18. Submits written post-production report to the board after final performance.
